What is Street bet?
A street bet in roulette is a wager on a row of three consecutive numbers across the table layout, such as 7, 8 and 9, paying 11 to 1.
The chip is placed on the outer edge of the row. The chance of winning on a European wheel is 3 in 37. Some tables also allow a three-number bet involving zero, such as 0, 1 and 2, sometimes called a trio or basket, at the same payout.
The house edge on a street bet matches other standard roulette bets. The bet sits between a split, covering two numbers, and a corner, covering four, in terms of coverage and payout.
Two adjacent streets combined form a six line. On average, a street wins about once every 12.3 spins on a single-zero wheel. As with all standard roulette bets, covering more numbers lowers the payout in proportion, so the expected cost per pound staked stays the same. Streets are often combined with other inside bets in patterns players choose for themselves.
