No tracking cookies

Casino Courant does not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, social media cookies or analytics cookies. We do not track you across websites and we do not build a profile of you. That is why you do not see a cookie banner on our site.

What we do store in your browser

To make the site easier to use, two settings can be stored in your browser's local storage. Local storage is a small storage area in your own browser. It works like a cookie, but the information is never sent to our server or to anyone else.

• Theme: whether you prefer the light or dark version of the site.
• Saved articles: the list of articles you have chosen to save for later.

Why no consent is needed for this

These settings exist only because you asked for them, by choosing a theme or saving an article, and they are used only to provide that function. They contain no personal data that we can see, and they do not leave your device. Under Dutch and EU rules, storage that is strictly necessary for a function you request does not require consent.

How to clear these settings

You can remove the stored settings at any time by clearing the site data for casinocourant.com in your browser. In most browsers you will find this under Settings, then Privacy or Site settings, then Cookies and site data. Clearing it will reset the theme to the default and empty your saved articles list.

Using a private or incognito window means nothing is kept after you close it.

Fonts and other content

Our fonts are served from our own server, so loading the site does not contact a third-party font service. If we ever embed content from another service, such as a video or social media post, we will make sure it does not set cookies before you choose to load it.

If this changes

If we ever decide to use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before any such cookie is placed. You will always be able to refuse or withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
