7 states have live, regulated online casinos: Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, West Virginia. Maine has legalised them but is not live yet.

In how many states is sports betting legal?

Sports betting is legal in 39 states plus Washington, DC, either online and in person or in person only. It spread after the US Supreme Court struck down the federal ban in 2018.

Are sweepstakes casinos legal?

They operate in a legal grey area in many states, but 11 states have passed laws banning them. Our tracker marks each state that has enacted a ban.
