What is Game provider?

A game provider is a company that designs and supplies casino games, such as slots, table games or live dealer products, to licensed operators.

Providers build the game maths, graphics and software and certify each game in the markets where it will be offered. Operators pay them a share of the GGR generated by their games, commonly a single-digit to low double-digit percentage, though terms vary.

Providers usually host games on remote servers and connect to operators directly or through aggregators. Many release several RTP versions of each slot, letting operators choose which to offer within regulatory limits.

Large providers often own multiple studios and distribute other developers' content, and acquisitions in this segment are a regular part of industry news. Some providers specialise in a single product type, such as live dealer games or crash games, while others offer full portfolios. Release schedules, game performance data and new market certifications are frequent subjects of supplier news.
