The 10 largest casinos in the world

Ranked by gaming floor area from company filings and operator figures, with the Venetian Macao at the top and WinStar the largest in the US.

The largest casino in the world by gaming space is the Venetian Macao, which its owner Las Vegas Sands reports at about 503,000 square feet of gaming space and gaming support area. Wynn Palace, also in Macau, follows at about 468,000 square feet, while WinStar World Casino in Oklahoma is the largest outside Macau with nearly 400,000 square feet.

How we measured and ranked them

We ranked casinos by the area given over to gambling, not by the size of the whole resort. Where possible we used the most recent figure the operator has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission: the annual reports of Las Vegas Sands, Wynn Resorts and Melco Resorts, all covering the year to December 2025. For the US tribal casinos, which do not file such reports, we used the operators' own published figures.

The measures are not identical. Las Vegas Sands and Melco count gaming space together with gaming support areas, Wynn reports casino space, and tribal operators often round their numbers. The same property can also appear with very different sizes: Sands China's own website describes the Venetian Macao as having approximately 376,000 square feet of gaming areas, while older reference sources give 546,000. Where figures conflict, we say so in the entry.

The '600,000 square feet' myth and other contenders

WinStar World Casino is widely described as having 600,000 square feet of gaming space. Its operator does not claim that: WinStar's own site cites nearly 400,000 square feet, and its Wikipedia entry gives 370,000. Galaxy Macau is often listed at about 400,000 square feet, but Galaxy Entertainment does not publish a comparable figure, so we have left it out.

Just outside the ten, Yaamava' Resort & Casino in Highland, California is widely reported at about 290,000 square feet of gaming space, which would place it just behind Wynn Macau, but we could not confirm a current figure from the operator. Las Vegas does not feature at all: Wynn Las Vegas reports about 199,000 square feet of casino space, and MGM Resorts lists Bellagio, its largest Strip casino, at about 154,000 square feet.

  1. 1

    The Venetian Macao

Cotai, Macau | about 503,000 sq ft (46,700 m²) gaming space and support area | opened 2007

Las Vegas Sands opened the Venetian Macao on the Cotai Strip in August 2007, modelled on its Venetian resort in Las Vegas. Its annual report for 2025 gives approximately 503,000 square feet of gaming space and gaming support area, with about 659 table games and 1,137 slot machines and electronic table games. That makes it the largest casino in the world on the measure we use. Sands China's website gives a narrower figure of about 376,000 square feet of gaming areas, and older sources quote 546,000 square feet.

  2. 2

    Wynn Palace

Cotai, Macau | about 468,000 sq ft (43,500 m²) casino space | opened 2016

Wynn Palace opened on 22 August 2016 as Wynn Resorts' second property in Macau, on the Cotai Strip. In its annual report for 2025, Wynn Resorts lists approximately 468,000 square feet of casino space, with 305 table games and 693 slot machines, as well as private gaming salons and sky casinos. That is more than twice the casino space of Wynn Las Vegas, which the same filing puts at about 199,000 square feet. The resort also has a hotel tower with 1,706 rooms, suites and villas.

  3. 3

    The Londoner Macao

Cotai, Macau | about 400,000 sq ft (37,200 m²) gaming space and support area | opened 2012

The Londoner Macao opened on 11 April 2012 as Sands Cotai Central and was rebuilt and rebranded with a London theme in phases through 2021. Las Vegas Sands reports approximately 400,000 square feet of gaming space and gaming support area, with about 500 table games and 1,285 slot machines and electronic table games. Sands China's website gives a lower figure of about 351,000 square feet of gaming space. Either way it ranks among the largest casinos anywhere, and on the filing figure it sits only just ahead of WinStar in Oklahoma.

  4. 4

    WinStar World Casino

Thackerville, Oklahoma, USA | nearly 400,000 sq ft (37,000 m²) gaming floor | opened 2004

Owned by the Chickasaw Nation and set just north of the Texas border, WinStar markets itself as the world's biggest casino. Its own site describes nearly 400,000 square feet of gaming floor with more than 10,000 electronic games, 100 table games and a 55-table poker room, which makes it the largest casino in the United States. The frequently repeated figure of 600,000 square feet is not one the operator uses, and Wikipedia gives 370,000 square feet. WinStar opened in 2004 and was renamed and expanded in 2009, with further expansions since.

  5. 5

    Foxwoods Resort Casino

Mashantucket, Connecticut, USA | about 344,000 sq ft (32,000 m²) gaming space | opened 1992

Foxwoods, run by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, opened its casino on 15 February 1992 and was at one time described as the largest in the world. Reference sources give about 340,000 to 344,000 square feet of gaming space spread across several casinos within one complex. In August 2023 Foxwoods added the Pequot Woodlands Casino, an area of more than 50,000 square feet with over 430 slot machines and 24 table games; it is not clear whether the older totals include it, so the current figure may be higher.

  6. 6

    City of Dreams Macau

Cotai, Macau | about 336,000 sq ft (31,227 m²) gaming and support area | opened 2009

Melco's City of Dreams opened on 1 June 2009 on the Cotai Strip. In its annual report for 2025, Melco gives the gaming and gaming support area as 31,227.3 square metres, about 336,000 square feet, out of a total floor area of 6.9 million square feet. Since 2023 this space has been owned by the Macau government and leased back to the operator under its concession. Earlier descriptions put the casino at 420,000 square feet or more, which explains why it often appears higher in older rankings.

  7. 7

    Studio City

Cotai, Macau | about 310,000 sq ft (28,784 m²) gaming and support area | opened 2015

Studio City, Melco's film-themed resort, opened on 27 October 2015 and is known for a figure-of-eight Ferris wheel set between its two hotel towers. Melco's 2025 annual report puts its gaming and gaming support area at 28,784.3 square metres, about 310,000 square feet, within a gross construction area of about 7.1 million square feet. As with City of Dreams, the gaming space has belonged to the Macau government since January 2023 and is used by the operator for the length of its gaming concession.

  8. 8

    Mohegan Sun

Uncasville, Connecticut, USA | more than 300,000 sq ft (27,900 m²) gaming space | opened 1996

Mohegan Sun, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, opened on 12 October 1996 on the banks of the Thames River in south-eastern Connecticut. Its operator describes more than 300,000 square feet of gaming within two main casinos, the Casino of the Earth and the Casino of the Sky. Published figures vary widely: Wikipedia gives about 364,000 square feet, while a 2019 company fact sheet said more than 255,000. We have used the operator's current figure, which places it eighth, though on the higher number it would rank fifth.

  9. 9

    Wynn Macau

Macau Peninsula, Macau | about 294,000 sq ft (27,300 m²) casino space | opened 2006

Wynn Macau opened in September 2006 in the centre of the Macau peninsula, with the Encore expansion following in April 2010. Wynn Resorts' 2025 annual report lists approximately 294,000 square feet of casino space, with 253 table games and 911 slot machines, plus private gaming salons and sky casinos. It is the only Macau casino in this ranking that is not on the Cotai Strip, and it stands in the older downtown area where Macau's casino industry grew up before Cotai was developed.

  10. 10

    The Parisian Macao

Cotai, Macau | about 272,000 sq ft (25,300 m²) gaming space and support area | opened 2016

The Parisian Macao opened in September 2016, connected to the Venetian Macao and recognisable by its re-creation of the Eiffel Tower. Las Vegas Sands reports approximately 272,000 square feet of gaming space and gaming support area, with about 255 table games and 1,008 slot machines and electronic table games, alongside 2,541 hotel rooms and suites. Because it links to the Venetian and the Plaza Macao, the three properties together form one of the largest continuous gaming complexes in the world, though each is licensed and counted separately.
